A special train was run for working members of the East Lancashire Railway on the evening 22nd July 2017 celebrating 30 Years of operation. The train was hauled by MSC 0-6-0T 32 Gothenburg (up to Ramsbottom), which hauled the reopening train back in 1987. The train was double headed with D832 Onslaught which took the train onto Rawtenstall.

Lancashire & Yorkshire Class 27 52322 was seen in traffic on Friday 24th February 2017, in her fresh coat of BR black with early emblem. The locomotive joined the early season fleet which also featured locomotives including Standard 4MT 76084 (as seen in above video) and 34092 City of Wells (seen in the 52322 video).
A feast of multi-coloured steam on the East Lancs was what was offered up for the Autumn Steam Gala 2014. Two A4's were in attendance in the form of Sir Nigel Gresley and Union of South Africa, along with K4 61994 The Great Marquess. Three locomotives were appearing in LMS livery including recently restored Crab 13065, A Class 12322 and Jinty 16407. The event was capped off with Standard 4mt 80080, Austerity 132 and Peckett May.
Highlights included the Jinty on station pilot duties at Bury Bolton Street, double headed A4's, goods, parcels and a variety of locomotives on passenger rakes. |
