Visitor, Sir Keith Park, is seen approaching Swithland sidings with a mixed freight train on the Saturday of the Great Central Railway's Winter Steam Gala. Joined by U class 31806 from Swanage, joining home based 777 Sir Lamiel this gave a souther tint to this very popular event.

Carrying 60103 on her smokebox and 502 on cabled and 103 on the other, Flying Scotsman is now running in on the East Lancashire Railway, following overhaul by Riley & Sons Engineering. I managed to catch her on Thursday 7th January 2016 at Bury Bolton Street station.

My last steam of 2015 was Boxing Day at Llangollen when on a passing visit I saw Standard 4mt 80072 in steam on the lines Mince Pie Specials.
