June saw a feast of Narrow Gauge events, the highlight being Russell returning to the Welsh Highland Railway proper, while the last weekend of the month saw two Staffordshire 2ft gauge lines host there galas.
GWR 813 was the star guest locomotive at the Tanfield Railway's Legends of Industry Gala. Running in a similar condition to when she entered industrial service at Backworth Colleries as Number 12. Click her for my photographic gallery and video from the event.
From the comfort of a warm dry signalbox, we view MSC 0-6-0T 32 Gothenburg on the rear of the first up train of the day (with Class 45 45108 providing the power on the other end of the train).
A weekend in Mid Wales for the Machynlleth Comedy Festival, saw us on a small tour of Welsh Narrow Gauge lines:
