On a sunny May Day Bank Holiday Monday we paid a visit to the delightful Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum near Keswick, Cumbria. Featuring a site packed full of mining plant, a wonderful recreated underground mine with tours and excellent 2ft gauge railway with passenger rides up into the upper levels of the Quarry, with journeys operated by Bagnall 'Sir Tom'. If your in Lakes on an operating day its defiantly worth a visit, and they are running a Steam Gala on the last weekend in July with visiting locomotives with a Penrhyn Quarry theme. I've also been moving more pictures into my galleries with plenty more pictures not uploaded before added, with my archives from the following lines all added into the new style blog galleries: Comments are closed.
