My first visit to a Welsh Highland Super-Power Gala, and I was not disappointed. The site of the Garratt's working through Abergaslyn on mixed trains was a lovely spectacle.

The 2014 event was mostly based on the southern end of the line, with one of the aims behind this to showcase the new Harbour station off to its full potential. I visited on the Friday and was blessed with the sight of the K1 on a mixed train, which I managed to catch arriving into Caernarfon, before taking the bus to Beddgelert (firstly catching the service train that left 45 minutes before the bus) were I got the K1 on four shots as it made its journey around the S curves into the station and out over Aberglasyn.

Prince was kept busy on Vintage trains to Beddgelert from Port, while the NGG16's ran both service trains (with K1 & Vale of Ffestiniog joining in during the afternoon) and also ran a couple of mixed goods trains over the line.
