Three days, three railways, three special events. Friday 6th March 2020 saw an afternoon enjoying a L&Y feast on the East Lancashire Railway. Celebrating the return to steam of 51456, one of the L&Y Trust's Pugs was brought from the Ribble Steam Railway for static display during the event.
The next day I paid a visit to Llangollen, were their first steam locomotive Austin 1 was operating her first passenger trains on the line this century (including her first ever trains to Carrog). On Sunday 8th March I paid a visit to the Keighely & Worth Valley Railway, for their Annual Gala featuring GWR 4144 from Didcot Railway Centre.
