Steam returns to the main line this week with Leander hauling the Cumbrian Mountain Express today. Next month Tornado returns to the S&C operating three days of 'timetabled' services between Appleby and Skipton. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been operating timetabled steam main line steam, although as Open Access rather than under franchise, for ten years this year. Here in this look at my footage from the NYMR from 2015/16, we take a look at shots in location order from Whitby to Pickering.
Next weekend sees the first big gala event of the year with the Bluebell's Q class visit the Great Central Railway in a line up which could feature up to 10 locomotives in steam. I plan to be in attendance on the Sunday with footage and photos following in the following days. Comments are closed.
